Clara Health has a team of brand ambassadors that reach out to communicate about clinical trials to people who could benefit from them. I set out to design a brand to capture this sense of purpose: care, hope, and simplicity. I designed this brand with simple yet sophisticated themes and colors to emphasize communication and innovation. The brand was used in Breakthrough Crew events, product promotion, and, most importantly, the ambassador welcome package for new members.
I wanted to emphasize clean and modern design when I worked on this branding. These choices were made to convey the role of an ambassador to patients: love, health, and togetherness. They tie back to health and to the program itself, representing both the life of the patient and the community aspect of the ambassador program. At the heart of this project, I designed each piece with a sense of welcome for ambassadors and patients they would work to help.
In addition, we collected patient artwork, stories, and poems and created a small magazine. The project and campaign planned for direct patient distribution and in Boston area hospital waiting rooms. Post-distribution, the magazine contributed to a 15.5% increase in site traffic in addition to user referrals and Twitter engagement. We distributed to the following hospitals: MGH, Shriners Hospital for Children, Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Boston Medical Center, Boston Children’s Hospital, Dana-Farber, Brigham and Women’s, Beth Israel, Tufts Medical Center, VA Medical Center, St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, and more.
